An Amazing Time at Villa Melissa

We have all had an amazing time. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. We have loved every minute. Villa Melissa is so much better than we ever imagined.

Thank you so much. Xxx !.

A Truly Wonderful Holiday

We had a wonderful holiday and staying at Villa Melissa was made exceedingly special by first and foremost, Patricia, and Ricky and Grace. We give them our heartfelt thanks for looking after us each and every day. Patricia - your cooking is 1st class. Better than Lone Star and even The Cliff. Open your own restaurant - we will come! Ricky - don't stop doing what you do.

Ricky, Grace and Patricia made my Holiday!

Patricia is a fantastic cook and I recommend you utilise her as much as you can during your stay. Grace is always happy to see you and is never not smiling. a lovely lady to be around. Ricky is not only the master of cocktails but a fountain of knowledge too. All three of them made this the best holiday of my life.

Out of This World!

Out of this world - such a wonderful house and the staff were fantastic !

Luxurious Comfort

This was our first ever trip to Barbados and although we've stayed in many villas throughout Europe, we had not stayed in a staffed house before Villa Melissa. I can only say that we had the most relaxing and comfortable stay imaginable.

We were a group of 3 extended families travelling from Australia, Canada and the UK to meet in Barbados. We had 4 young children in our party so the air-conditioned 5 bed/bath house and cottage combination provided an extremely comfortable space for our stay. The combination of the media room, outdoor dining area, several sitting areas, lawn, pool, bar and cottage meant there was ample space to find a quiet corner to relax in peace or come together as a group for food, fun and games. The pool and bar combination was enjoyed for many long hours each day the pristine beach is a 5 minute walk from the front door down a quiet walkway. So easy in fact that barefoot 4 year old in wet swimmers would happily do it 3 times a day.

The villa staff were kind and considerate and really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. While always discreet, they each took great care of every family member in our party. Patricia planned wonderful menus from locally sourced produced for fining eating throughout the week. She was flexible and helpful in catering for fussy young eaters and even babies. Ricardo was a very considerate and efficient butler, handling all of our many needs around the house, pool, bar and even the beach. He never once faulted on a cocktail request and he makes the best rum punch we had on the island. Nadine did a sterling job keeping the living quarters clean and comfortable for our entire stay. She was considerate of the babies routines and quietly and efficiently handled the massive washing requirement generated by 3 families on extended travels.

I don't often leave reviews but felt compelled to do so on this occasion. While reluctantly driving back to the airport after our stay, my Wife asked me what rating I would (hypothetically) leave on trip advisor. After careful but brief deliberation I had to respond with "5 stars" simply because there is nothing more we could Hve wanted from our stay.

Amazing Villa Melissa!!!!

I recently returned from a birthday celebration with seven friends at Villa Melissa, and we had an incredible time! The Villa is absolutely lovely, and has been recently upgraded with a larger pool, pool bar, teak deck furniture, and numerous upgrades to the living spaces. Being that Barbados is not the usual American choice for a Caribbean Holiday, it was so fun to have my friends enjoy all that Barbados has to offer.

The staff at Villa Melissa were wonderful. Ricardo, the butler, took care of all of our needsā€¦including amazing rum punches! Patricia cooked our delicious meals, and Nadine was a lovely house keeper. You may lounge by the pool, or take a short walk out the door to the beautiful West Coast beach. The Villa's proximity to the beach, fabulous restaurants, and shopping make it a must for anyone contemplating a trip to the Island. Villa Melissa is very family friendly, as the whole Villa sleeps 10 people. We were 8, and very comfortable. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, and there is plenty of common space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. I highly recommend a stay at Villa Melissaā€¦you will not regret it!!!

Holiday of a lifetime!!

We have recently returned from a 10 day trip to Villa Mellissa in Barbados .. The accommodation comfortably slept and catered for us all..

The villa is exceptional, and the cottage is a dream !! The villa has recently undergone a number of upgrades..including a new pool / pool bar and alfresco dining area. We really made the most of them, I personally never wanted to leave the pool bar, where Raymond would serve us up his famous Rum punch on tap ! ..

The swimming pool is very kid friendly too, and has been done to a very high standard. The postion of villa Mellissa is second to none ...litterly a 2 minute stroll takes you onto the breathtaking beaches of the west coast. We enjoyed a stroll before breakfast everyday and loved watching the sunset most evenings whilst the kids played on the beach. The Staff at the villa were all lovely and very professional.. Desmond the butler was great fun , and Patricia the chef was awesome ..and let's not forget the laundry maid Nadine who was also fantastic ..

We are already looking at booking this next year.. Highly recommend to families or couples .

Amazing place with Life Long Memories!

This year I turned 40 and so did a few of my greatest girl friends I've known for years! We wanted to do something really special to celebrate. It doesn't get any better than this! I've been on some high end, amazing vacations but this tops them all! The home is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible. They tend to your every need!

We woke up to French pressed coffee and watching monkeys run along the wall of the pool. The outdoor area and pool are beautiful (I live in Florida so I'm used to nice pools, but this was really special). There are several outdoor seating areas and a beautiful bar.

Great location! Villa Melissa is less than a 5 minute walk to the most beautiful beach where the water is warm and clear.

Paradise at Villa Melissa, Barbados

This was our 3rd trip to Barbados. We had to stay at a new villa due to our large party this time. We took a chance on Villa Melissa and we were extremely pleased. Let me start by saying that the staff is what completes this villa. Victor the butler is a gem. He's there to please your needs but it's his amazing spirit that lures you in. We loved how he took the time to fix the table to perfection, flowers & fancy shapes out of the napkins and candles illuminated the area every night. He also sets up your chairs & umbrellas at the beach every day.

Patricia the cook whips up anything you desire and she does it with a warm smile. She's an excellent cook. Michele the housekeeper keeps the place spotless and provides you with fresh linens and does your laundry every day! There are two houses on the property. One is the main house with 3 bedrooms/3 baths, living area and kitchen. The other is the cottage with 2 bedrooms (one has a huge sitting area)/2baths and a kitchen.. Both houses have outdoor sitting areas and the main house has a large table outside where we dined every day. The pool is not very large but definitely accommodated us. We loved the monkeys that were all around. They came right up to us when we gave them bananas! They don't come near you if you don't feed them so they are never a problem.

The beach is a short walk and is absolutely beautiful. Any type of watersport is available. Ask around for Rodney for waverunners, he's always willing to give you a good deal. We also took a catamaran trip on "Elegance" with Cally the Captain. We highly recommend this trip. We swam with the turtles, snorkeled and relaxed on this private boat for 5 glorious hours (lunch/alcohol included in the price of $100 person - definitely worth it!) Another fun day trip is to the cliffs on the northeast coast where you can take a tour in the caves called Animal Flower Cave.
